where it all began

La Rampa is a bar and restaurant from Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes, inspired by Jake’s childhood growing up in Cuba, and regular trips home to Havana since.

Through Jake and Marco’s collective intrigue and passion for the cultural heritage of Cuba, La Rampa brings to life the decadence and beauty of 1950’s Havana, paying homage to the city’s rich heritage and colourful characters.

Often referred to as the ‘Monte Carlo of the Americas’, pre-revolution, Havana was the go-to spot for high society, with some of the best bars, restaurants and casinos in the world.

We aim to bring these heady days to life, showcasing Havana’s rich history and giving it the respect it deserves.

OUR food

OUR MENU IS INSPIRED BY influences from modern cuba and wider central america. crafted by the team behind tātā eatery, our entire menu is designed to be shared.

Expect takes on Cuban classics like the sandwich Cubano or Frita Cubana (Cuban burger), as well as dishes inspired by the wider Central American region - chicken chicharrones (fried chicken), tacos, ceviche and empanadas. Many of our dishes are also vegan and/or gluten free.

Enjoy our small plates throughout the day, whether you’re dropping by for lunch, cocktails and a bite in the bar, or staying into the evening to soak up the atmosphere of Havana nights.

As for desserts, our homemade churros take centre stage, alongside sweet treats such as our café glacé.

OUR cocktails

La Rampa’s cocktail menu has been crafted by Marcis Dzelzainis, with a focus on rum-based classics served alongside our signature house cocktails. Showcasing original recipes from Havana, some dating back to pre-1900, our menu celebrates how these elegant Cuban classics have inspired the go-to cocktails of today.

With the Daiquiri, we share the story of a perfect libation.

Originally served as freshly juiced limes over rum, we celebrate the drink’s evolution to Papa Doble; the Hemingway inspired grapefruit & maraschino special, through to La Rampa’s remixed Watermelon Daiquiri, that’s forever changed the way summer tastes.

Mojitos, the cocktail Cuba made famous, are served at La Rampa the way La Bodeguita del Medio in Havana intended; simply, with Eminente Claro rum, lime, soda, mint and a dash of brown sugar on cubed ice (never crushed!)

Our drinks

Our selection of draught and bottled beer will suit the thirstiest of guests, and our curated list of classic wines features some natural, earthy options, including an orignal deep-orange wine from Slobodne.
